My first piece of advice would be this: a fresh breeze beats the best candle every time, hands down. Don't get me wrong, I really like candles and things that make rooms smell nice. However, after a long Minnesota winter, hunkered down inside trying to stay alive, the air gets a little stale. Anything we do to make the air livable is just waiting for spring.
Yesterday I opened my window for the first time since September. It smelled wonderful. And it didn't instantly freeze all the water in the house and kill me.
Don't worry, I won't start blogging about housekeeping. I'm just thrilled about spring being here. I'm thrilled about warm air, and fresh smells. Isn't the gift of smell wonderful? Each season has a smell—who would have thought of that.
